Jerry, the camp host, is so welcoming and kind. The campsite was well maintained and equipped with everything we could have asked for. The bathhouse was being renovated while we were there, and the finished rooms looked amazing! For families with kids, the newly renovated salt-water pool and the adjacent Rose Creek Gem Mine are must-do activities! The campground is very close to downtown Franklin, a great destination for an afternoon of exploring the various shops. If you have kids, ask about the scavenger hunt put together by all the local shops! It's so fun!Posted on Paul W. PeelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very nice small town campground. Modern amenities and a mountain setting.Posted on Robin FTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wow is all I can say. We booked this campground for 8 days and we just left this morning. A week ago when we pulled in we went directly to our site. Jerry the host came right over and introduced himself. He wanted to know if we needed anything and gave us his card so we could text him anytime. He was so sweet and that was a personal touch! The campground is very quiet and quant. We were site #11 up on a hill. It was extremely sunny, but hot as there was no shade so just be aware if you are booking this site as to the temps outside. We were thinking of calling the reservations to see if we could switch sites as it was a heat wave, but we decided to stay there and ended up being perfect. Their pool is beautiful as there is a brand new liner in there. We used it one day, but unfortunately the water was hot because of the heat wave. When we arrived Saturday Jerry told us they were making a barbecue meal for guests that night. That was truly amazing and we sure took advantage of that yummy food. We did day trips from Franklin to Highlands, NOC outdoor center, Helen, GA, Cherokee, Cashiers and spent our last day in Franklin doing a brewery eating lunch out and exploring. We had the best time at this campground. If we are planning to visit Franklin again, we would definately come back.Posted on Kelsey McCreightTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What a great, quiet spot to camp and ride some of the best roads the east coast has to offer! Stumbled upon Rose Creek, looking for something a little better situated to Tail of the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway, than Maggie Valley. Special surprise, the recently finalized Southeast BDR runs right by the campground, and the covered wagons were featured in their release video! Absolutely beautiful gem of a campground and the camp host Jerry, welcoming, kind... with a side of jokes! Mother nature delivered a serious heat wave and our dark camper turned into an oven. Jerry, and owner Emily, took care of us and allowed us to move to a shady spot which made our poodle and doodle much more comfortable. Already planning a return trip!Posted on Caleb GibsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I stayed at a campsite, so the rooms rating is null, but this was amazing compared to what I'm used to. Responsive and I ordered same day and got availability, admittedly not the wisest choice lol. But is mine close and they have bathrooms, water and the caretaker brought firewood, though it rained. Highly recommend.Posted on Eric SegarsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Small, privately owned camp ground. My wife and I have camped here several times over the last twenty years. The one bathhouse is small and old but has always been cleaned daily if not twice a day. Rates are not bad at all. Looking forward to getting back up there.Posted on Muddle blind at waters edgeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very friendly staff! Dog park and plenty of open ground to walk your babies. My only wish is they would have a flip grate on fire rings so you can grill on them, on the plus side you can move fire ring!Posted on A.j. The camp host Jerry was a super nice guyPosted on deesis nogudTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Rooms is self provided however this campground provides almost everything else. The hospitality of the camp host really welcomed us to the area. The campground itself was pristine and had a bathhouse with very hot showers even in freezing night temperatures. My son caught an approximate 4lb bass in the fishing pond. We were out of season for the line but the area was adorable - definitely has potential. Overall the grounds and the price was perfect for our stay. We say many waterfalls, the best being south east and straight east however north and north east held plenty of explorable trails we did also visit.
